Frequently asked questions
What is a JWT?
A JSON Web Token is three base64url-encoded parts — header.payload.signature — that carries identity or authorization claims between services.
Does this verify the signature?
No. This tool only decodes and displays the contents so you can inspect them. Verification needs the secret or public key, which we never ask for.
Is my token sent anywhere?
No. Decoding happens entirely in your browser.
