Where do my images go?
Nowhere. Compression runs entirely in your browser with the Canvas API. Files are never uploaded, so they stay on your device.
What quality should I pick?
70–85% is the sweet spot for photos — barely visible difference at a fraction of the size. Use higher values for images with text or sharp lines.
Will the compressor shrink a PNG?
PNG is already lossless, so re-saving it as PNG will not shrink it. For big PNGs, switch the output to JPEG or WebP to actually reduce the file.
